DESCRIPTION:This course will assist students who are either currently completing or approaching their VCE years to develop a folio of drawings and paintings. An integral part of in this course is to assist students to develop and enhance their technical skills and understandings of the essential principles of art making. \nStudents will receive individual support with projects they are currently working on as part of their school curriculum and/ or folio preparation needs. Alternatively\, staff will also provide individual support and assign students projects according to their needs. \nThe course will assist students to build folios in the following areas: Fashion\, Animation\, Graphic Design\, Fine Art\, Illustration\, Architecture\, Interior Design\, Textiles\, Art Teaching\, and Cartooning. \nLimited spaces available. SUMMARY:Painting Studio – Beginners to Intermediate
DESCRIPTION:This painting class will explore various painting processes and techniques using a range of media such as\, oil\, acrylic\, watercolour\, mixed media\, oil sticks\, gouache and collage. Four sessions per term of this course will be “open studio” giving students the opportunity to paint what they like in any media. These sessions are designed to encouraging creative thinking. Students will work from observational studies such as: still life; figure(portrait); and en plein air. DESCRIPTION:Christmas Sessions – Juniors (8-12yrs). We will be running 4 sessions over the weekend of 16th and 17th of December for our Juniors students to get creative and prepared for Christmas! All materials are included for each session. Select your class preference for the drop down selection below to enrol. Each session is $45. \nSaturday 16th December: \nSession 1: 9:30am – 12:30pm (3 hours) \nChristmas Card Making – Linocut\nPrint your own Christmas cards and wrapping paper. Students will produce a linocut piece which they can then use to print off Christmas cards and wrapping paper. \nSession 2: 1pm – 4pm (3 hours) \nHoliday Destination Reproduction – in the style of Hokusai\nStudents will product a small painting in the style of the famous Japanese artist Hokusai whose works were  recently exhibited at the NGV.
