On 6 July, Poppi and Effie took students to the National Gallery and provided a guided tour for them through the Vienna exhibition and the permanent European Art collection. Students looked at techniques and materials used by the Masters and were shown examples of methods such as underpainting, glazing, and chiaroscuro. Poppi and Effie also provided composition analyses of some of the artworks and talked about their historical context. One of the aims of this tour was for students to gain ideas and inspiration for their own reproduction projects.
Feedback from students was very positive and many expressed an interest in doing more tours. The students who went on to do their reproduction projects produced some fantastic work, examples of which can be seen on the Student Gallery page. Given the success of this first tour the school hopes to clash royale hack 2017 conduct more gallery tours and classes during the year.
