We are approaching the last week of our first term and yet again, a wonderful start to the year. Its our fourth year running classes at the studio and we are continuously growing and offering more to our art community.

The standard of work across all our classes I believe is stronger and produced with conviction and confidence. During class on Saturday with my teenagers I sat and observed a couple of students who have been studying at the studio for over a year. I thought how lucky are these kids to receive foundational skill based training at this age, and they are get it, they understand it. It took them a few terms to get their head around understanding the language and seeing, such as plane changes; values; hues; core; cast shadows; notans etc.. I’m finding now with those students I can hold back a little more and correct less. They see it, they own it and they are clearly enjoying the process of making decisions. E.Mandalos
