This ongoing art course for juniors will focus on learning the fundamental aspects and principles of art making. This ongoing art course aims to provide a fun and friendly environment whilst exploring techniques of basic drawing and painting. Classes will also promote confidence and individual expression, and allow students to experiment with different mediums. Media used will include: pencil; charcoal and compressed charcoal; soft and hard dry pastel; oil pastel; pen and wash; ink; watercolour, acrylic and oil paints; collage and mixed media Note: All class information will be updated regularly on Facebook/ Instagram and on our News section on this site. This 8 week course is designed for students who are passionate in learning and furthering their skills in art making. The classes will provide students with the fundamentals in illustration and design . Classes will explore a variety of mediums such as pencils; markers; watercolour; gouache and collage. Students will work from brief with specifications. Students will be introduced to product design such as posters, story boarding, book illustration and typography. The course can be ongoing and provides a pathway into the schools Folio Preparation classes. Spaces are limited to 8 students per term allowing more one on one time. Please note that not all materials are not provided. A list of recommended materials will be sent to students on enrolment. The studio will provide A2 cartridge paper, and basic drawing materials.
