    This 2 day Drawing intensive class is designed to assist those wishing to enhance their folio with large format drawing. Students will explore the design principles such as shape, space and perspective and compositional drawing, with initial A2 drawings and resulting in a final large format drawing. A life drawing model will be incorporated for 4 hours. The class is for any skill base and is aimed at those wishing to add to their folio or those wanting to get ahead in their drawing. The course fee includes high quality 600gsm AO watercolour paper . Students are  to bring willow charcoal and are welcome to bring along any other materials and paper if they have specific needs.

An integral part of in this course is to assist students to develop and enhance their technical skills and understandings of the essential principles of art making. Students will receive individual support with projects they are currently working on as part of their school curriculum and/ or folio preparation needs. Alternatively, staff will also provide individual support and assign students projects according to their needs. The course will assist students to build folios in the following areas: Fashion, Animation, Graphic Design, Fine Art, Illustration, Architecture, Interior Design, Textiles, Art Teaching, and Cartooning.   • This 8 week course is designed for students who are passionate in learning and furthering their skills in art making. The classes will provide students with the fundamentals in painting, drawing.  Classes will explore a variety of mediums such as pencils; charcoal; markers; watercolour; gouache; oil paint and collage. Students will work from still life and portraiture by which they will learn to plan and compose finished art pieces.   The course can be ongoing and provide a pathway into the schools Folio Preparation classes. Spaces are limited to 10 students per term allowing more one on one time.  Please note that not all materials are not provided. A list of recommended materials will be sent to students on enrolment. The studio will provide A2 cartridge paper, and basic drawing materials. Some materials included. The classes will provide students with the fundamentals in illustration and design .  Classes will explore a variety of mediums such as pencils; markers; watercolour; gouache and collage. Students will work from brief with specifications. Students will be introduced to product design  such as posters, story boarding, book illustration and typography. The course can be ongoing and provides a pathway into the schools Folio Preparation classes. Spaces are limited to 8 students per term allowing more one on one time.  Please note that not all materials are not provided.   • Our four-session portraiture drawing class is tailored for beginners to intermediate participants. Students will learn the fundamental elements of facial anatomy, proportion, and structure.   • This painting course will include instruction in basic colour theory, the principles of colour mixing, and the preparation of a surface on which artwork will be created. Students will be assigned projects that examine various oil painting techniques such as: under painting; wet on wet; fat on lean; direct painting; scumbling; dry brush; blending; glazing; impasto and painting with a palette knife. This painting course is suitable for beginners, however it is strongly advised that students have some drawing experience as drawing skills are essential to painting.
